Notorious Naxal Shankar was arrested in Jamui, he told in interrogation that he had killed husband and son.
The Naxalites involved in the murder of father and son have been arrested by the security forces in Barjor village of Naxal-affected Bongi Panchayat of Chakai police station area.
According to information received from police sources, under the directions of the Commandant Brijesh Singh Pratihar of the 16th Corps of the Border Security Force and the Superintendent of Police Jamui Shaurya Suman, a continuous raid was being conducted to arrest the Naxalites.
Meanwhile, on Friday, raids were conducted at the Jhajha bus stand under the leadership of Company Commander Ashish Vaishnav of Border Security Force Charkapathar, DSP Rahmat Ali of STF Jhajha, Jhajha police station chief Rajesh Sharan, Chakai police station president Rajiv Tiwari.
In these raids, Naxalite Shankar Yadav, a resident of Chilkakhar under Charkapathar police station, was arrested.
Arrested Naxalite along with his accomplices shot dead Arjun Hembram and his son Chatur Hembram in their sleeping state in Barajor on the night of 25 August 2021 and left a pamphlet poster alleging that they were police informers.
Since then the police was looking for Naxalite Shankar Yadav. In the past, too many Naxalites have been arrested and sent to jail in this murder case.
The arrested Shankar is being interrogated. It is expected that this will give information about the Naxalite organization. This will make it much easier for the police administration to take action.
