Novak Djokovic Enters Second Round With An Easy Win

Novak Djokovic enters the second round with an easy win: Wimbledon 2021.

Novak Djokovic of Serbia, the world’s number one tennis player, started Wimbledon in a great way.

Taking to the grass-court two years after winning the Wimbledon 2019 title, Djokovic easily won the first round.

He defeated Britain’s 19-year-old youngster Jack Dorper 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. Djokovic won his 19th Grand Slam by winning the French Open title.

The 253rd ranked Jack surprised everyone by winning the first set of the match 6-4.

However, under the roof of the court closed due to rain, Djokovic did not allow Jack, making his Wimbledon debut, to stay on the toughest grass court in the world.

Novak Djokovic enters the second round: Djokovic regained his momentum in the second set and won it in 26 minutes to level the score at 1-1.

In this way, Djokovic, who once regained the momentum, again did not give Jack a chance to come back and beat him by winning consecutive sets.

Djokovic advanced to the second round on his way to a sixth Wimbledon title and 20th Grand Slam overall.

Returning from a win on the court two years later, Djokovic said: “It’s great to see everyone and to be back on the holiest tennis court in the world.”

Last year due to Corona it was very sad not to be there but, now really glad that it is back.

In the other women’s match, second seed Aryan Sabalenka defeated Romania’s No. 191 Monica Niculescu 6-1 6-4 in straight sets.

Tsitsipas is a victim of upset, French Open runner-up out of the first round

Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, who made history by reaching the finals in the French Open, showing a brilliant game at the second Grand Slam of the year, suffered a setback at Wimbledon.

America’s Francis Tiafo made an upset on the first day of Wimbledon by defeating third seed Tsitsipas, the runner-up of the French Open, in the first round.

He was defeated by 57th-ranked Tiago in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.

Tsitsipas, who played a brilliant game at the French Open, came to a halt in the first round at Wimbledon.

In the very first game, Tiago showed his brilliant rhythm breaking the serve of Tsitsipas, after which Tsitsipas could not make a comeback in the match and lost the first set.
