Pak Wanted To Declare Two Indian Citizens As Terrorists, Failed

Pak wanted to declare two Indian citizens as terrorists, failed in United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Pakistan’s attempt to declare two Indian nationals as terrorists failed in the United Nations Security Council.

Pak wanted to declare two Indian citizens as terrorists once again failed in the United Nations Security Council. This information was given by TS Tirumurthy, India’s permanent envoy to the United Nations on Wednesday.

Actually, Pakistan was trying to include two Indian nationals Angara Appaji and Gobind Patnaik from the United Nations Security Council in the list of global terrorists, but it did not work here and another move of Pakistan against India failed.

There was a plan by Pakistan to declare these two as terrorists through the 1267 Committee of the United Nations Security Council. The 1267 Committee of the United Nations had also declared Jaish-e-Mohammed’s leader Masood Azhar a global terrorist a few months ago.

Pak accuses the Angara of these terrorist attacks

Angara Appaji was working as a software developer at the Bank of Kabul. Pakistan has accused the Angara of a terrorist attack on a mall on Mall Road in Lahore on 13 February 2017. In the dossier presented before the 1267 committee, Angara has been convicted of assaulting the Army School of Peshawar.

Pakistan failed to present evidence

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC), led by the US, Britain, France, Germany, and Belgium, decided to block Pakistan’s efforts as Islamabad failed to produce evidence related to its allegations. Earlier, this attempt of Pakistan was stopped by the US.

Earlier last year, Pakistan had proposed to declare four Indian nationals as terrorists from the 1267 Committee of the United Nations but failed to produce evidence.

These were four Indian citizens – Venumadhav Dongra, Ajay Mistry, Gobind Patnaik, and Angara Appaji. Pakistan’s move was supported by China on the United Nations platform.
