PMC And HDIL Scam: Enforcement Directorate Succeeds, Viva Group MD Mehul Thakur And Director Arrested.

In the PMC and HDIL scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Viva Group MD Mehul Thakur and Director Madan Gopal Chaturvedi. ED officials have given this information.

ED raided 5 places along with Veeva Group and its associate in this case. During this period, the authorities had received some digital documents, on the basis of which the arrest has been made.

In the PMC Bank Money Laundering case, the Enforcement Directorate had recently told about the interrogation of Varsha Raut, the wife of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.

In this case of money laundering of Rs 4,300 crore, ED had sent a summons to Varsha Raut to appear. Earlier, the ED had questioned Varsha at his office in Mumbai under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The ED is investigating the role of Varsha in the case of a fund transfer of Rs 55 lakh on behalf of Madhuri Raut, wife of Praveen Raut, accused in the bank loan scam.

Praveen Raut is the director of infrastructure company Guru Ashish Constructions. The company is a subsidiary of Housing Development Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL), the alleged firm in the case.

Praveen Raut was arrested by the Economic Offenses Wing of the State Police. The ED recently seized his property worth Rs 72 crore.
