Police Inspector Sharad Singh Has Killed 24 Naxalites

Police Inspector Sharad Singh has killed 24 Naxalites, arrested one hundred and fifty, now fighting against corruption: Chhattisgarh.

Sharad Singh, Police Inspector engaged in the proceedings against corruption in the Surguja division, has shown indomitable valor and courage on the Naxal front.

He is popularly known as a police officer who served as an in-charge only after a few years in the same police station where he served as a constable.

This opportunity was due to the out-of-turn promotion due to successfully completing the operation against the Naxalites.

Police Inspector  Sharad Singh, who has won several awards for gallantry and courage, has played an important role in effective action against Naxalites in South Chhattisgarh.

Sharad Singh, a resident of Surguja, first took charge as a constable in the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces. On 10 September 2003, he had the opportunity to work in the Armed Forces.

During that time, he served as constable in Konta police station of Sukma district of Bastar police range. He served in the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces for almost 4 years.

When the recruitment started in the Chhattisgarh Police in the year 2007, he participated in it. He was appointed to the Surguja District Police Force in the year 2007.

While serving as the constable at Sitapur and Ambikapur police stations in Surguja district, he was part of the police team that was involved in the robbery as well as taking effective action against illegal drug peddlers.

When one-time promotion started for work in the Naxal-affected areas of Bastar, he accepted the opportunity to work in the campaign against the Naxalites.

In the year 2012, he served as a Sub Inspector in Bastar. In the extreme Naxal-affected areas like Bijapur, Basaguda, Gangalur, he fought every challenge firmly.

The Naxalites were killed by the police in several successful encounters under his leadership as DRG in-charge and Naxal cell in-charge.

The year 2017 was very special for Sharad Singh when he got an opportunity to serve as the Konta police station in-charge of Sukma district. During that time he was promoted to the post of inspector.

He had served as constable in this Konta police station about 14 years ago.

He considered the opportunity to work as in-charge in the same police station a pleasant experience and took effective action to stop the Naxal activities in the area.

Sharad Singh’s name is prominent among the police officers who have shown indomitable courage against the Naxalites by serving in the Bastar Police Range. He has spent most of his 17 years of service in Naxal-affected areas.

24 Naxalites killed, over 150 arrested

Seeing the campaign against Naxalites in Bastar Police Range as an opportunity, Sharad Singh has executed several successful encounters one after the other. They have killed 24 Naxalites in Bastar Police Range.

He has played an important role in arresting more than 150 Naxalites. The number of Naxalites who surrendered at their initiative is also quite high.

He always encouraged the subordinate employees while working in Naxal affected areas instead of the plains of Chhattisgarh. Sharad Singh has been known as a police officer who preferred to work in the Naxal area instead of the plain area.

Four Director Generals of Central Reserve Force were awarded medals

Inspector Sharad Singh has received four Director-General Medals of the Central Reserve Force for taking effective action against the Naxalites, which is considered a very prestigious award.

He has also received many awards from the Government of Chhattisgarh. His spirit has been praised from time to time by reward and governance level.

Seven public servants have been arrested so far

After serving in the Naxalite area for many years, Inspector Sharad Singh from the Government level has been given the opportunity to work in the Anti Corruption Bureau.

He has been posted in the Anti Corruption Bureau Ambikapur unit since 20 January 2020.

Development Block Education Officer and Tehsildar were among the officers arrested for red handed taking the bribe, who was also part of the team that arrested seven public servants in the case.
