Police register case against Soundarya’s husband, Yeddyurappa’s granddaughter commits suicide leaving her nine-month-old daughter in another room.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter Dr. Soundarya VY committed suicide by hanging herself in her flat in the city on Friday.

Soundarya had left her nine-month-old daughter in another room before committing suicide. Police have registered a case of unnatural death on the complaint of Soundarya’s husband Dr. Neeraj.

The police are waiting for the statement of her family to ascertain what made Soundarya take this drastic step.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the former Chief Minister of Karnataka and consoled him on the death of his granddaughter.

According to sources, Dr. Soundarya had performed the christening ceremony for her daughter three months back.

Police sources said that the possibility of a family dispute looks very slim. According to the statements of the maid and the people of the apartment, the couple was living in harmony.

Dr. Soundarya was Assistant Professor at Bowring Hospital and her husband Neeraj is a radiologist and is working in MS Ramesh Hospital.

Dr. Satish, who did Soundarya’s post-mortem, said that apart from the mark on the neck, no other mark was found on the body.

The report of the team of three doctors who conducted the post-mortem has been submitted to the Tehsildar. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.

Police register case against Soundarya’s husband: Soundarya was married to Dr. Neeraj in 2018.

Soundarya, the daughter of Padmavati, the second daughter of the BJP leader, was married to Dr. Neeraj in 2018. Both studied in the same medical college in the city.

The matter came to light when the domestic maid came to wake her for breakfast at 9 am on Friday morning. When Soundarya did not open the door, the maid informed Dr. Neeraj and others.

The apartment staff came and found Soundarya hanging. After that informed the police. Soundarya was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
