Police will file separate charge sheets in the case of theft and vandalism in the shops of the Bhajanpura area: Delhi Riots 2020.
The police have decided to file separate charge sheets on the court’s objection to registering a single FIR, merging several complaints of theft and vandalism in shops in the Bhajanpura area during the Delhi riots.
Last year, rioters ransacked shops in Bhajanpura after thefts in C, D, and E-blocks on different dates. Police had registered an FIR linking five such incidents together. Later the same charge sheet was filed.
The accused Neeraj alias Kashi and Manish were arrested on this. They were also accused of arson in the chargesheet.

While hearing the matter had acquitted both the accused from the charge of arson, saying that the complainants did not mention arson in their original complaint.
The case was referred to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court for trial on charges of rioting, use of deadly weapons, joining an illegal group, forcible entry, and theft.
During the hearing, the court had found that in this case, the police had registered an FIR by combining the incidents of different dates together.
On this, the court had put a question mark on the working style of the police. On this, the police filed a reply in the court and said that the complaints of different dates will be separated.
Everyone will be investigated separately. Then charge sheets will be filed.
Accused arrested after one and a half years of riots.
The Karkardooma court refused to grant bail to Prince Kumar. The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court said that three witnesses have given statements against the accused.
He has been identified from the video. After repeated raids, the accused police could not get it.
In view of this situation, it is not proper to grant him bail. Prince is charged with rioting, joining an illegal group, forcible entry, and theft.
