Prophet Remark Row: Nine were detained in Bhaderwah on charges of disturbing the atmosphere, Kishtwar curfew was relaxed for five hours.

Nine people were detained in the curfew-bound Bhaderwah town of Doda district of the Jammu division.

At the same time, restrictions were relaxed for five hours in the curfew issued at the adjacent district Kishtwar headquarters.

Curfew was imposed in Bhaderwah and Kishtwar on Thursday following provocative speeches from the terrace of the mosque of Bhaderwah in the Doda district.

Also, some internet media posts were posted in protest against controversial remarks made by BJP’s suspended Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad.

Along with this internet services were also stopped. At the same time, action has now started regarding this matter.

On Tuesday, nine people were arrested in Bhaderwah. They have been detained for disturbing the atmosphere by raising provocative slogans during a protest.

Let us inform you that on Sunday, the police arrested a person for making inflammatory speeches in a mosque.

Senior police and administrative officials are monitoring the law and order situation. Curfew is expected to be relaxed in a phased manner from late at night in Bhaderwah.

Officials said that curfew was relaxed in Kishtwar for five hours from 1:30 pm. During this relaxation, people bought essential goods in the market.

This relaxation can be given even today at the same time. It is also being said that if everything remains normal like this, then this period can be extended further.

However, even in the midst of this relaxation, the security personnel are constantly keeping an eye on the area.

Security personnel is still being deployed in sensitive areas. The miscreants are also being monitored.

Let us inform you that on Monday also the administration had relaxed the restrictions in Kishtwar for one and a half hours and during this time no untoward incident took place.

At the same time, broadband and mobile internet services are still suspended in Bhaderwah and Kishtwar as precautionary measures.
