Rajnath Will Visit The Economic Explosives Limited On Tuesday
Rajnath will visit the hand grenade company today, agreement to supply hand grenades with a private company.
On Tuesday, defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Nagpur-based private sector defense company Economic Explosives Limited (EEL).
In October last year, the Defense Ministry had signed an agreement with EEL to supply one million multi-mode grenades to the Indian Army for Rs 409 crore.
Defense Minister to visit EEL factory, DRDO laboratory.
On Monday, the Defense Ministry said that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be on a one-day visit to Nagpur tomorrow (Tuesday). He will attend an event at the EEL factory premises.
On Tuesday, the Defense Minister will also visit the laboratory of the Centre-run Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
Apart from this, he will also visit the Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force in Nagpur.
Now the information about defense procurement will be published on the website of the Ministry of Defense, Rajnath has approved.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the proposal to publish the correct information about the planned procurement on the Ministry of Defense and Defense Services website.
The Defense Ministry says that this decision will boost ‘Ease of Doing Business, as well as help in increasing transparency in the capital acquisition process.
Technology tie-up scheme
The Defense Ministry says that due to this decision, industry people can plan technology tie-ups with original equipment manufacturers.
Along with this, the process of building production lines and increasing capacity can also be started. The Ministry has approved it within a week of receiving the proposal.
Procurement process for armed forces slow against time: Naravane.
Just a few days back, Army Chief General MM Naravane had said that the procurement process for the Armed Forces was slow against the times and reforms needed to revolutionize bureaucratic matters.
He said due to the “arbitrary nature” of the rules and regulations, there are many loopholes in the procurement process.
He also said that the needs of the ‘Information Age’ war could not be incapacitated by the processes of the ‘Industrial Age’.
Rajnath flags off five trauma care ambulances for Army
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also flagged off a fleet of five trauma care ambulances from his residence.
These ambulances have been donated by a non-profit organization to the Army for deployment in Jammu and Kashmir.
These ambulances have been provided by the ‘Borderless World Foundation’ to the Army’s Chinar Corps deployed in the security of the Line of Control in Kashmir.
