Rajni Bala Killing: Rajni was targeted for being a Hindu. She got her transfer news at the night, and in the morning the terrorists killed her.
Teacher Rajni Bala, who became the target of terrorist brutality, was also very worried and fearful of the target killings happening in Kashmir over the past few days.
She wanted to go to a safe place with her husband and child. Rajni was posted in high school in Gopalpora, Kulgam.
Her husband Rajkumar is also a government teacher and is posted at Government Middle School Mirahama, a short distance from Gopalpora.
The prince pleaded that if they could not be transferred elsewhere, then both of them should be shifted to the same school in Kulgam itself.
After a long wait, on Monday night, they came to know that both of them have been ordered to be transferred to the government school located in Chawalgam, Kulgam.
The copy of the order is yet to be received on Tuesday morning. This made both the husband and wife happy at night, but little did they know what was going to happen the next morning.
In the morning, both the husband and wife got ready and left for their respective schools, but Rajni was murdered by the terrorists outside the school itself.
If this order had been received a day earlier, perhaps Rajni Bala’s life would have been saved.
Raj Kumar, reached his residence at Nankechak in the Samba district of the Jammu division on Tuesday evening, with the body of his wife.
He said that he had repeatedly appealed to the Chief Education Officer of Kulgam district that both of them should be posted in the same school, but he did not agree.
After that, he had requested the Director of Education Department and he posted both of them in a school, but in the morning Rajni was murdered.
Rajni Bala was appointed in 2009 from the Scheduled Caste category quota. The two have a 14-year-old daughter, Sana Attri, who studies in class VIII in a private school in Kulgam.
This family lived in a rented house in Kulgam itself. Rajni Bala was posted in this school for the last five years and was very attached to the students.
