RCB vs RR: RCB Will Have An Eye On Reaching The Top 2 Slot

RCB vs RR: RCB will have an eye on reaching the top two, will compete with Rajasthan Royals.

After securing their place in the play-offs,  RCB will look to register a big win against the ravaged Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL here on Wednesday to keep their hopes of breaking into the top two alive.

RCB, in their quest for their maiden IPL title, are currently in third place with 16 points from 12 matches.

A win over Sunrisers will boost RCB’s morale ahead of their final match of the league stage against Delhi on Friday.

RCB vs RR: If RCB wins both their last matches, they will be on 20 points and have a chance to break into the top two.

After losing to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the start of the second leg, RCB made a good comeback and made it to the playoffs after winning three matches in a row.

The Virat Kohli-led side will look to continue their winning campaign. Kohli has not been able to score big so far, but he seems to be in good form.

Young opener Devdutt Padikkal has also played a good role with him, but all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been brilliant.

AB de Villiers hasn’t got many chances this season, which shows how well the RCB top-order is performing.

RCB bowlers have also done well. Muhammad Siraj, George Garten, and Harshal Patel are doing well in the fast bowling department, while Yuzvendra Singh Chahal is doing well in the spin department.

Sunrisers, on the other hand, would not like to miss this season either. His team is already out of the race for the playoffs due to consecutive defeats.

They have won only two out of 12 matches and are at the last position in the table. In the second leg, they have been able to register only one win in five matches against Rajasthan Royals.

In such a situation, Sunrisers will try to end the season on a positive note by winning both the remaining matches.

Batting has emerged as Sunrisers’ weak side. Jonny Bairstow’s absence has made his batting more vulnerable.

In the bowling, Jason Holder has played his part well but Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddharth Kaul have disappointed.
