Rohit Sharma Has Come To UAE With Almost Nine Bats
Rohit Sharma has come to UAE with almost nine bats, told how long a bat lasts. Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma said that when he plays in the shorter format, his bat lasts for a month or two.
The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is being played in the UAE. Rohit has told how many bats he has come herewith. The captain of the Mumbai Indians also told media how long the bat will last depends on the format of the game.
Rohit said in a video posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians that my bat usually runs long, very long. I would say four to five months. But it depends on the format I’m playing.
When you are playing the T20 format, you need to hit too many shots. Many new shots require you to practice. In such a situation, your bat may break. It is very likely.
Rohit further said that during the IPL and T20 format, my bat usually lasts for a month or two. We know that this time is very difficult. We do not know if the courier will arrive on time.
So I have brought about nine bats with me. Rohit played an 80-run match-winning knock against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. With the help of his innings, Mumbai registered their first win in the tournament.
The defending champions Mumbai Indians suffered a five-wicket defeat in their opening match of IPL 2020 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but the team recovered quickly and defeated KKR by 49 runs in the next match.
With this victory, the team broke the losing streak in the UAE. In the 2014 edition of IPL, Mumbai Indians suffered a loss in all matches played here.
The team will next play Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday (28 September). This will be the third match for both teams. Both have won in one match and lost in one match.
