Rohit Sharma said on receiving the Khel Ratna – Honoring by the country is a big motivating factor. Stormy opener Rohit Sharma of the Indian team said on Thursday that receiving any honor by the country is a big motivating factor and he will try to bring happiness and joy on the faces of the countrymen.

The right-handed batsman said that he was very proud to be honored with the Khel Ratna award, as it is the highest sporting honor in the country. In a video shared on BCCI’s Twitter handle, hitman Rohit has said, “It is great to receive the highest sporting honor.

I am feeling very happy and very happy to receive this award. I recommend my name ( Khel Ratna) and then would like to thank the Sports Minister and the BCCI for accepting the name. I promise to keep working hard and want to work for my country. ”

He further added, “This is a wonderful group – these three names are mentioned (Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli) who have done wonders for our country and the country has been very happy with this. In this list, It’s a great honor for me to be involved. I’m very happy about it. ”

Rohit Sharma, the only batsman in the world to score three double centuries in One Day International cricket, is one of the five athletes to be honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award on August 29 on National Sports Day. Mariyappan Tea (Para-Athletics), Manika Batra (Table Tennis), Vinesh Phogat (Wrestling) and Rani Rampal (Hockey) are going to receive the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.

Rohit further said, “Being recognized for what you do for your country is a big motivating factor and I will always strive to bring happiness and joy to our country. My fans, my support system, and my family Ko – Thank you very much. Without you, this is not possible. Keep supporting and always stand behind the team. Thank you very much.
