Russia Ukraine War: Stockpile Of Dead Bodies Found In Izium

Russia Ukraine War: Stockpile of dead bodies found in Izium, recently Ukrainian soldiers liberated from enemies.

Authorities have found more than 440 bodies in a forest outside the city after Russian forces abandoned the Ukrainian city of Izium.

Ukraine recently liberated Izium from Russian troops, where about 450 bodies have been found in mass burials.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) quoted Sethi Bolvinov, a chief police investigation officer of the Kharkiv region, as saying that the bodies would be forensically examined.

Some of these have been killed by shelling and air strikes.

More than 440 bodies were found buried.

ABC said in its report, ‘I can say that this is one of the largest burial sites in free zones in a large city, where 440 bodies were buried in one place.’

In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of comparing bodies found on the outskirts of Izium to mass graves discovered in Bucha.

The Ukrainian president said in a video message yesterday that the incident should be clarified, verified, and more informed. He said journalists from around the world would be taken to these places on Friday.

Russia Ukraine War: Stockpile of dead bodies found. Russia is accused of targeting civilians.

“We want the world to know what is really happening and what has happened to our country because of the Russian occupation,” Zelensky said.

Notably, hundreds of civilians were found dead in the streets of Bucha, next to their homes, and in mass graves in the early stages of the war by the Russian military in late February.

Ukraine accused Russia of the Bucha massacre. However, Russia has denied the allegations and said that Ukraine was spreading confusion.

Ukraine’s western allies also accused the Russian military of committing crimes under the guise of war there.

Why did the Russo-Ukraine War happen?

The Russian military launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24, three days after Moscow recognized separate regions of Ukraine—Donetsk, and Luhansk—as independent republics.

Following this, several countries, including Britain, the US, Canada, and the European Union, condemned Russia’s military operations in Ukraine and imposed sanctions on Moscow.

These countries also promised to help Ukraine with military aid to fight Russia.
