Russian Army Retaliated On Kyiv, And Ukraine Also Retaliated

Russian army retaliated on Kyiv, and Ukraine also retaliated; captured this city. After weeks of peace in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, an explosion occurred again on Sunday.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko said there were several explosions in Kyiv early on Sunday. The attack came at a time when life was returning to normal in the city and its suburbs.

Klitschko wrote on the Telegram messaging app, ‘Several explosions occurred in the Darnitsky and Dniprovsky districts of the capital. Services are already working on site.

Mayor urges people to stay in their homes.

Witnesses saw smoke in Kyiv that continued after the explosions. Klitschko said at least one person had been hospitalized, but no deaths were reported as of early Sunday.

The mayor of the historic town of Brevard, about 20 km (12 miles) from the center of Kyiv, urged people to stay inside their homes as there were reports of a sooty smell from the smoke.

Kyiv has been free from Russian aggression in recent weeks.

Life in Kyiv has been relatively attack-free in recent weeks after Moscow focused military attention in the east and south, despite continued Russian attacks on Ukraine and widespread destruction.

Air raid sirens regularly disrupt life in the capital, but there have been no major attacks on the city for several weeks.

Kyiv’s Dernitsky District on the left bank of the Dnieper River extends from the outskirts of the city to the riverbank, while the Dniprovsky District to the north of the city lies along the river.

Alexander Goncharenko, the mayor of Kramatorsk, formerly in the Donetsk region, reported attacks on the city overnight, resulting in extensive damage but no casualties.

On Saturday, Ukrainian officials said the country’s troops had recaptured the city of Sievierodonetsk in retaliation against Russia.

The Ukrainian army counterattacked.

Britain’s Defense Ministry said on Sunday that Ukrainian forces had retaliated in the eastern Ukrainian city of Svyarodonetsk.

The ministry said in a tweet that the move would likely blunt the operational momentum the Russian forces had previously achieved by focusing on combat units and firepower.
