Samsung Launches Two New Smartwatches Powered By Exynos Chip

Samsung has unveiled the next-generation smartwatches of Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch Pro. The company launched these devices along with the Galaxy Fold series on Wednesday.

The Galaxy Watch 5 has a bioactive sensor that measures heart rate, SpO2, and stress levels. The new Galaxy Watch 5 also does ECG and blood pressure monitoring.

The smartwatch is powered by an Exynos chip. It has an AMOLED display, which supports the Always On Display feature.

The company claims that this smartwatch offers up to 8 hours of sleep tracking with 8 minutes of charging. Both the Galaxy smartwatches will be available for pre-order in select markets from August 10.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 price starts at $279 (approximately Rs 22,166) for the regular version and $329 (approximately Rs 26,130) for the LTE variant.

While the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is priced at $449 (approximately Rs 35,600) and the LTE variant.

The price starts from $ 499 (Rs 39,600). Both the Galaxy smartwatches will be available for pre-order in select markets from August 10 and will go on sale from August 26.

Samsung is offering the Galaxy Watch 5 in two options 44mm and 40mm, which will come with 1.4-inch AMOLED and 1.2-inch AMOLED displays respectively.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED full color Always On display.

Both the watches are powered by Exynos W920 dual-core chipset, paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Both of them run on the same WearOS 3.5 version.

Fast charging support.

Samsung has equipped both Galaxy Watches with sensors like optical heart rate, bioelectrical impedance analysis, temperature, barometer, light, and gyro.

This, along with fast charging, wireless charging support is also available. The 44mm version of the Galaxy Watch 5 packs a 410mAh battery, while the 40mm model packs a 284mAh battery.

With the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, you get a 590mAh battery which is bigger than the regular model.
