Security Forces Thwarted A Big Conspiracy Of Target Killing

Security forces thwarted a big conspiracy of target killing by arresting two TRF terrorists.

Security forces on Friday arrested two terrorists of The Resistance Front TRF operating in Handwara of North Kashmir.

Three other accomplices of these two were apprehended on August 4 and one of them is a minor.

This module was entrusted with the targeted killing of local workers of various political parties, policemen, and minorities in Kupwara, Handwara, and Sopore.

A police spokesman said that on August 4, the police along with the 21 RR and CRPF personnel of the Army had apprehended three TRF terrorists near Fruit Mandi in Handwara.

Two of them were identified as Manzoor Ahmed Kumar and Shaukat Ahmed Butt, while the third is a minor. A pistol, a magazine, seven cartridges, and two grenades were recovered from them.

In the interrogation, while disclosing the conspiracy of target killing of certain people in these three Handwara, it was told that they also have two more accomplices.

Based on the information received from these three, the police had started a campaign to nab their other accomplices by identifying them.

The spokesman said that this morning the police came to know from their system that the other two terrorists of the module, who were arrested on August 4, are in Handwara itself.

The informers also told the identity of these two and their real names to the police. At the same time, along with the army and CRPF personnel, the police formed a special team.

This team arrested Ejaz Ahmed Butt alias Hilal and Nasir Ahmed Mir.

Two pistols, four magazines, 58 cartridges, and six grenades were also recovered from them. At present, the interrogation of these three is going on.
