Shopian Encounter: 2 Terrorists Killed In The Encounter
Shopian Encounter: 2 terrorists killed in the encounter, involved in loot of 60 lakh, internet shut down, operation continues.
Two militants have been killed by security forces in the ongoing encounter in the Kutpora area of south Kashmir’s district Shopian.
A senior police official confirmed the death of the two terrorists. He said that these terrorists were recently involved in looting the cash of JK Bank in Shopian.
It was he who looted 60 lakh rupees from the van. The officer said that we had given him full opportunity to surrender.
His family also explained to him but he refused to do so. Meanwhile, the operation is going on in the area. The administration has stopped internet service in Shopian as a precaution.
On getting specific information, special teams of SOG, 34 RR, and CRPF personnel of the army conducted a search operation in the Kutpora area of District Shopian in the wee hours of today.
The security forces had just started a search operation in the area that the terrorists hiding in a house saw the security forces coming close to them and started firing on them.
The security forces asked them to surrender but they did not agree.
There was heavy firing from both. Meanwhile, the security forces came to know from the local people that two of the three terrorists hiding in the house were locals. He has recently joined the terrorist organization.
The security forces also called their relatives to explain the two terrorists.
It is being told that with the help of a loudspeaker, the family members of the terrorists asked them to put arms in front of the security forces several times, but they did not agree.
The security forces have sent back the families of the terrorists and once again the firing from both sides intensified.
So far two terrorists have been killed in the encounter. There is still terrorist hiding in the house. The campaign is on. Security forces have already laid siege to the entire area.
