Shrikhand Mahadev’s religious pilgrimage, which is one of the most difficult religious journeys in North India, officially stopped on July 24.

In such a situation, now the administration has appealed to the devotees not to put their lives at risk and not to go on this journey.

This journey has been officially closed by the administration.

On the other hand, the traffic has been blocked due to the cracking of the hill near Chaleer Dhak on Bagipul Jaon road, due to which 300 vehicles of devotees returning from Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra are stuck.

In such a situation, due to the non-resumption of road traffic for two days, devotees are facing problems.

Due to heavy rains, the road restoration work is being affected due to intermittent landslides from the hill. Due to this, there is a lot of difficulty in restoring the road.

On behalf of the administration, people have also been urged not to go to this area so that there is no loss of life and property.

Deputy Commissioner Kullu Ashutosh Garg said that Shrikhand Mahadev’s yatra was officially organized from July 11 to July 24 this year.

He said that this time after July 24, Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra has been called off. He said that this year around 8000 devotees performed Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra.

He said that recently there has been a major landslide on Jao Road, due to which the traffic has come to a complete standstill.

He said that a lot of effort is being made to clear the landslide due to which the work has been affected due to intermittent landslides from the hill.

He said that in such a situation the vehicles of many devotees are stranded. He said that the Public Works Department has been instructed to restore the road.

He said that the stranded devotees would be rescued soon after restoring the road. For this, the responsibility has been entrusted to SDM Ani.

It should be noted that on July 25, afternoon, there has been a huge landslide due to the cracking of the hill near Chhaleer Dhank, 3 km from Jaon.

Due to this, the traffic is completely disrupted. A temple has also been damaged due to the landslide. In such a situation, machinery has been engaged for 2 days to pave this road.

But the work is getting affected due by frequent landslides from the hill. Due to this, road restoration is facing huge problems.
