Six Countries Including Iran Will Not Be Able To Vote In The UN

Six countries including Iran will not be able to vote in the UN. Six countries, including Iran, have lost the right to vote in the General Assembly at the United Nations. They have been denied the right to vote due to non-payment of outstanding fees.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres gave this information. He said that the list includes Niger, The Central African Republic, Congo, Brazzaville, Sudan, and Zimbabwe with Iran.

There are three countries whose voting rights have been continued even after non-payment of dues. The three countries Comoros, Sao Tome, Somalia stated that they are not in a position to pay.

In this regard, General Secretary Antonio Guterres has written to the President of the General Assembly, Volcan Bojkir, that according to the UN Charter, if a country does not pay the United Nations outstanding fees for two consecutive years, then it is denied the right to vote.

Iran owes $ 120 million in fees. Iran has blamed the US for the non-payment of this fee. He has said that this has happened because of the US ban.
