Six Thousand Posts Will Be Filled By Jun 2022 For KPs

Six thousand posts will be filled by June 2022 in the jobs announced in Kashmir for Kashmiri Pandits.

The recruitment process for all the six thousand posts announced for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits under the Prime Minister’s Special Employment Package will be completed in June 2022.

This claim was made by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday. He deferred the call for an inquiry into the killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley during 1989-90 and subsequent years.

He said that we are committed to the safe, dignified return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.

During the talks on the budget for the year 2022-23 for Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the package which was issued for the construction of 6000 houses and 6000 jobs for Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley was not fully implemented due to some reasons.

Out of six thousand posts, 4678 posts have been appointed, the remaining vacant posts will soon be appointed in mission mode by the qualified candidates by June this year.

Apart from this 1025 transit residential facility has already been prepared for them at various places in the valley and construction of 1488 flats is going on.

Avoiding the question of re-investigation of the cases related to the killings and atrocities of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.

He said that we are committed to the safe, dignified return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.

Efforts are being made at various levels for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir, it would not be right to mention all those efforts and measures right now.

We are taking all necessary steps for the welfare of Kashmiri Pandits.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha took forward the point that transit housing facilities are not sufficient for the return and resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley, but this is just the beginning.

I agree it is not enough, but we are taking action.

In order to ensure the return and resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits displaced in the Kashmir Valley.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had announced an employment package in the government sector for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the year 2009.

Initially, there were only three thousand jobs under this package, which were later increased to six thousand.

Along with this, the construction of a transit residential facility for displaced Kashmiri Pandit personnel was also started in all the districts of the Valley.
