Suspended Congress leader makes serious allegations against the party, says- Protection given to radical organizations. Suspended Congress leader and former state minister R.K. Roshan Baig has alleged that the Congress has been patronizing radical organizations in Karnataka for decades. The attack of the crowd on the house of the MLA A.Srinivasa Murthy was the result of this. The violence was carried out by the SDPI.
Baig said, ‘Karnataka Congress has been patronizing radical organizations like the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) for decades. I have been raising my voice against this from day one. Why are Congress MLAs not helping Tanveer Sait and Murthy, while both are victims of SDPI violence? Dismissing these allegations, Congress MLA PZ Jamir Ahmed Khan said that Baig has already had a relationship with SDPI and is now trying to distance himself from the organization.
Karnataka government will go to the high court for appointment of claim commissioner
The Karnataka government has decided to move the High Court to appoint a Claim Commissioner (Claims Commissioner) in the Bangalore violence case to recover damages from those who had damaged public and private property during the violence. Section-144 (prohibitory orders) has been extended till the morning of August 21 in the violence-affected areas.
On the other hand, JDS Chief and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda demanded a judicial inquiry chaired by the High Court Judge, saying that action should not be taken against any innocent in the case. Violence victim Congress MLA R. Akhanda Srinivas Murthy met the Chief Minister and requested for a CBI inquiry into the matter and to increase his security. Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, “So far 300 people have been arrested. ‘
The rioters targeted the Congress MLA and the police station
People of the particular community had committed violence on August 11 over the Facebook post of Naveen, nephew of Congress MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy from Pulakeshinagar assembly constituency. The rioters targeted the MLA’s house as well as DJ Halli police station.
Al-Hind member arrested
Bangalore Additional Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said that Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested Sameeuddin in connection with the violence. He is a member of Al-Hind for the last few years and was also in touch with the accused in the 2016 murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker Rudresh. CCB has arrested another accused belonging to the regional party.
