The Jammu Police on Tuesday night arrested an Overground Worker (OGW) of the terrorist organization TRF with a grenade, foiling the incident of terror attack in the city.

The OGW has been nabbed from the Narwal area of ​​the city. Where was he going with the grenade, the police are questioning him about this.

Terrorist attack averted in Jammu: Based on the interrogation of OGW, the police have now started searching for his associates.

Overground worker Shakir Ahmed Naikoo’s son Mohammad Shafi Naikoo is a resident of Shahpora, Zainpura, Shopia, Kashmir.

According to the information, late at night, the police had blocked the Narwhal Chowk. During this, the activities of a person passing on foot were found suspicious by the police.

When the policeman signaled the said person to stop, he started running back. The policemen posted at the block chased him and nabbed him.

When he was searched, a grenade was recovered from his possession.

Shakir Ahmed was taken directly to Narwal police post and senior police officers were informed.

The Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police also reached Narwal police post and took Shakir with them for questioning.

After the interrogation of Shakir, the police raids continued in different areas till late at night.

During this, there is also information about the arrest of some people by the police. However, this has not been confirmed by the senior officials.

Jammu: SIT constituted to investigate the case of missing revenue records, some property dealers may be taken into custody

A six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to expedite the investigation of missing land records of Sanjwan and Chauadi villages on the outskirts of the city.

The command of the SIT has been handed over to Jammu Head Quarter SP Ramnish Gupta.

In the SIT, Sub Division Police Officer City East Saeed Zafar, SHO Chhani Himmat Deepak Katoch, Chief Prosecuting Officer (CPO) Jammu Pooja Nijan, Assistant Sub Inspector, and Head Constable posted at Chhani Himmat police station have been made members.

At the same time, during the raids of the Revenue Department on Sunday, the investigation of documents recovered from the houses of former revenue officers is going on.

For this also committees have been formed, which are scrutinizing the records closely.

The members of the committees are checking the records by sitting in the Divisional Commissioner’s office from morning till evening.
