Terrorists will be destroyed! Army’s search operation continues in many areas of Jammu; weapons were found during the search. General Officer Commanding of White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva reviewed the operation of security forces to destroy terrorism and its entire ecosystem in Jammu province in a joint security meeting on Saturday.

In the meeting, along with reviewing the internal and external security scenario of Jammu province, the next strategy for the ongoing anti-terrorism operations was also decided.

Meanwhile, a joint task force of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and Army recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition from a terrorist hideout in Saad-Mahaur of Reasi district.

It is noteworthy that the security forces started a comprehensive operation in the last week of January against the terrorists hiding in the upper hilly areas and forests of Rajouri-Poonch, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Udhampur and Kathua of Jammu province.

Under this campaign, security forces are marking and searching those areas where there is information and apprehension of terrorist activities.

How long will the search operation continue?

Related officials said that under this campaign, today cordon and search operations have been conducted in Mandi, Mohalla Kasba, Allapir, Jalian, and Mankot in districts Poonch, Dera Ki Gali, Sunderbani, and Nowshera sectors in district Rajouri, Mahor, Chhajru in district Reasi, Khaned in district Udhampur and Bhaderwah, Gandoh and upper areas of Kishtwar in district Doda.

He said that this operation is being conducted based on information about the presence of terrorists in the area. The search operation will continue until the Jammu region is made terror-free.

Terrorists Will Be Eliminated: A Joint Security Review Meeting held

Meanwhile, a joint security review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva, General Officer Commanding of the Army’s White Knight Corps. This meeting was held at the Corps Headquarters in Nagrota. The White Knight Corps is the 16th Corps of the Indian Army.

Senior officials of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and other security agencies participated in the meeting. According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, the internal and external security scenario of Jammu province was discussed in detail in the meeting. Along with this, while maintaining the law and order situation in Jammu province, the strategy of operations going on for the destruction of terrorists was also discussed and necessary amendments and improvements were made to it.

He said that in the meeting, emphasis was laid on ensuring mutual coordination among all the security agencies and the exchange of all necessary information on a real-time basis.

Huge quantity of weapons recovered from terrorist hideouts

Meanwhile, security forces detected a terrorist hideout in Saad-Chhajru, Mahore in Reasi district and recovered four under-barrel grenade launchers (UBGL), one loaded and three empty AK-47 magazines, 268 cartridges of AK-47 and four magazines and four packets of detonators.
