O’Brien tweeted, “President Donald Trump, through his leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, introduced a ‘Legion of Merit’ to enhance the strategic partnership of America-India.

Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu accepted the medal on behalf of PM Modi. Explain that on July 20, 1942, the Lease of Merit Medal was instituted by Congress.
