Pakistan started digging tunnels when the border became impregnable, 9 times it has attempted to infiltrate through the tunnel As the anti-infiltration system on the international border in Jammu continues to strengthen, the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agency ISI have focused all their strength on infiltrating the tunnel below the border.

In the last eight years, there have been nine conspiracies in the Jammu division to infiltrate the tunnel on the international border. The area from where the 150-meter tunnel has been carved across the Bobia area of the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district is very close to the Chakka Saman post of the Pakistani Rangers. In such a situation, it is not possible to dig this tunnel without the help of the Rangers.

It would have taken several days to build such a long tunnel using engineering technology under the ground. Three plots to infiltrate the tunnel in the Jammu division have taken place after August 2020.

Pakistan, which fails to infiltrate from above the ground, considers the tunnel an easy option to push terrorists, so it is continuing efforts even after the conspiracies fail. The Border Security Force has also increased vigilance by Pakistan to tackle the conspiracy to dig the tunnel.
