Confirming the killing of both the terrorists, IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that among the slain terrorists, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization commander Yasir Pare.

While the other Pakistani terrorist Farqan was involved. Congratulating the security forces on the killing of both the terrorists, he said that the search for these two notorious terrorists was being done for a long time.

Police sources said Jaish commander Yasir Pare was also part of the planning for IED attacks to be carried out in the Valley during Republic Day 2020 in December 2019.

The attack was to be carried out on important installations of security forces in South Kashmir. Not only this, but both these terrorists were also responsible for many other terror attacks in the union territory.

According to the information received from the police, they received information about the sighting of two terrorists in Kasbayar locality of Rajpora area of ​​district Pulwama this morning.

SOG personnel, accompanied by a joint team of Army and CRPF, reached the area and after the siege started searching for the terrorists.

As the security personnel approached the hideout where the terrorists were hiding, firing started.

The security forces, taking their positions immediately, first asked the terrorists to lay down their arms, but when they did not agree, they also started firing in response.

Meanwhile, another team of security personnel started evacuating the common people living nearby.

When the terrorists did not lay down arms despite repeated requests, the security forces killed both the terrorists using heavy weapons. Weapons have also been recovered from the encounter site.

After taking possession of both the bodies, the security forces are continuing the search operation in the area.
