Two TRF Terrorists Arrested From Anantnag And Pulwama
Two TRF terrorists arrested from Anantnag and Pulwama, weapons also recovered: Militancy In Kashmir.
Security forces have arrested two active terrorists of The Resistance Front (TRF), another faction of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), from the Wahadan area of Anantnag district and Pulwama in South Kashmir.
The terrorist arrested from Anantnag has been identified as Hafiz Abdullah Malik, a resident of Ganjipora. While the terrorist arrested from Pulwama has been identified as Sarveer Mir.
On the spot, the security forces recovered a pistol and seven rounds of it from his possession. Later, one AK-47, two magazines, forty rounds were also recovered from his whereabouts.
Confirming Hafiz’s arrest, a senior police officer said that he came to know three months back that Hafiz was working as an overground worker for the terrorists.
He went missing before they could arrest him. On September 25, Police received information that Hafiz had become an active TRF terrorist.
In the early hours of today, we came to know from information systems that Hafiz is hiding in the Wahadan area of Aishmukkam.
On the basis of the information, a joint team of SOG of Police and 3RR Battalion of Army reached the Wahadan area and they started searching for the terrorist.
When the security forces searched him, a pistol was recovered from him.
On interrogation, Hafiz told that Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have hidden some weapons in the forests of Katsu.
Soon after this information, a patrol team reached the forests of Katsu and on search, they found an AK-47, two magazines, and 40 rounds of it.
The police officer said that with the help of these weapons, the terrorists were trying to carry out some incidents. Hafiz was also in the midst of an attack. He is under interrogation.
At the same time, the Pulwama Police has recently arrested an active terrorist who joined the terrorist organization.
The police officer said that in the operation conducted by the joint team of SOG and Army, terrorist Sarveer Mir (22) son of Ghulam Mohideen Mir resident of Khiryu’s Bathen has been arrested.
Sarveer is said to be an active terrorist of the Lashkar/TRF organization. He claimed that much more important information related to TRF and Lashkar can be obtained from both terrorists.
