UK media watchdog’s action on Khalsa TV, the heavy penalty for inciting Sikhs to violence.

The UK media watchdog has fined Khalsa Television Ltd (KTV) in Britain a total of £ 50,000, ie Rs 50 lakh, for showing a music video and violent acts of Sikh separatists on TV.

It was reported that he was inciting British Sikhs to violence and it also had a terrorist reference. Ofcom, an organization created by the UK government to monitor the media, issued the order on Friday after an ongoing investigation for some time.

The order also asked not to repeat that music video of KTV or the discussion program found in violation of its rules.

Ofcom said, ‘Ofcom has imposed a financial penalty of £ 20,000 and £ 30,000 on KTV, Khalsa Television Ltd., for failing to comply with our broadcasting rules.

A fine of £ 20,000 is related to the music video. The fine of £ 30,000 pertains to a discussion program. ‘

On 4, 7, and 9 July 2018, KTV aired a music video called ‘Bagga and Shera’. After its investigation, Ofcom found that the music video showed Sikhs living in Britain being asked for violence, even being murdered.

At the same time, a discussion program, which aired on March 30, 2019, was titled Panthak Issues, in which Ofcom found that it too was not openly, but provoked.

Ofcom also found that it also contained a reference to the accused terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa. Let us tell you that KTV is a television channel that is broadcasted extensively by the Sikh community in the United Kingdom under the license of Khalsa Television Limited.

Ofcom said that the video indirectly supported the violent action of Sikh terrorists. This includes those who killed the people who carried out Operation Blue Star.

Explain that the Khalistani terrorists had a hand in the killing of those involved in Operation Blue Star. At the same time, the music video that was released featured a picture of Indira Gandhi.
