PMK has decided to contest the urban local election alone. Accordingly, the list of BJP candidates was released by the party leader GK Mani.
Voting for the urban local election in Tamil Nadu will take place on February 19. Nominations for this are being filed.
The political arena is heating up as candidate selection and allotment of seats to the coalition parties. In this case, the Proletarian People’s Party will stand alone in the urban local elections, as it did in the rural local elections.
GK Mani, the leader of the party, has released the preliminary list of BJP candidates for the forthcoming local body elections at the BJP office in Thiyagarayar, Chennai.
Former Union Minister AK Mani was among those present.
The candidate list has been published for 200 wards in Chennai and 60 wards in Salem Corporation.
Following this, GK Mani told reporters that BJP would contest all the municipal, municipal and municipal elections in the urban local body elections.
He added that in this election, women, lawyers, and new faces have been given the opportunity.
Noting that BJP also has influence in the southern districts, GK Mani warned that stern action would be taken against anyone who helped the other party candidate by gaining local understanding in the urban local body elections.
