Vaccination of 18-44 age group to be resumed tomorrow in Karnataka, ready plan for vaccination.
The Karnataka government is going to resume the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for people in the age group of 18-44 years from Saturday.
The state government issued an order on Thursday, stating that frontline warriors will be vaccinated before those eligible for the vaccine.
The decision comes eight days after the government ordered to suspend the vaccination campaign for the group in the absence of an adequate supply of vaccines.
Let us know that due to the lack of corona vaccine some time ago, the vaccination campaign for this group was postponed.
“The vaccination campaign for the age group of 18-44 years is being resumed from May 22 and the vaccines purchased by the state will be used to immunize the eligible beneficiaries,” the order said.
The state has decided that frontline warriors will be vaccinated first. As per the order, the deputy commissioner and chief commissioner of the BBMP will be in charge of the vaccination of this group in Bengaluru.
Nodal officers for each category will be nominated by the Deputy Commissioners in the districts and the Chief Commissioner of BBMP to facilitate the Covid vaccine covishield.
Health Minister K Sudhakar said that the state has received 1,22,20,510 vaccines so far and 1,13,61,234 people have been vaccinated.
Karnataka has placed orders for 20 million Covishield and 10 million Covaxin. Let me tell you that a day before this Sudhakar said that the state government has targeted to vaccinate its eligible population by the end of the year.
