The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Varavara Rao, an accused in the Bhima Koregaon case.

Accused Varvara Rao has been granted bail on the condition that he will not go out of Mumbai and will have to appear whenever called for an investigation.

Let me tell you that Rao is one of the five accused in the Bhima-Koregaon case who was arrested for having links with the Naxalites.

It is worth mentioning that on 18 November 2020, the Bombay High Court had accused Varvara Rao, accused in the Bhima Koregaon case, of 15 days treatment at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment of the State Government.

During this time, their family members were allowed to move according to hospital rules.

Explain that the Maharashtra government had submitted a medical report to the Bombay High Court, stating that the accused Varavara Rao is fully conscious and has a sense of things.

On this, Rao’s counsel argued that nothing has been written in this report regarding Rao’s nervous system problems and urinary tract infection. After which the High Court had asked to file a full report in this regard.

It was written in the petition that in view of the worsening neurological and physical health condition of Varavara Rao, he needs to be treated immediately, for which he should be admitted to Nanavati Hospital.
