Vijay Mashaal: Victory torch reached Tiger War Memorial to honor martyrs. Vijay Torch was welcomed at the Tiger Division Headquarters of the Army.
The Vijay Mashaal, who arrived in Jammu and Kashmir during the Golden Victory of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, arrived at the Tiger War Memorial in Jammu on Monday to honor the martyrs.
Major Mohit Sharma, a para commando hailing from Rohtak, Haryana, was killed in a gunfight in a gunfight in March 2009 in the Hafaroda jungles of Kupwara.
Lieutenant Colonel Rishima Sharma along with GOC Major General Neeraj Gosain of the Tiger Division of the Army along with several other senior officers of the Army was also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the GOC and other officials paid tribute to the martyrs of the army at the Tiger War Memorial.
Lieutenant Colonel Rishima Sharma, while saluting the martyrs, also remembered the supreme sacrifice of her husband Major Mohit Sharma.
Brigadier NR Pandey and Brigadier GS Shan, who took part in the fifty-first battle fought at the event organized in honor of Vijay Mashal at Tiger Div, were also honored.
These ex-servicemen recount their old experiences and bring back memories of the 1971 war.
Meanwhile, after the program in honor of Vijay Mashal in Tiger Div, the program of taking it to different parts of Jammu city started.

On Saturday, Paramveer Chakra winner Captain Bana Singh, who took part in the Chhunt sector in the 1971 war, was honored on the occasion in a program organized in honor of Vijay Mashal at Kulian of RSpura in Jammu on Saturday.
Arya Samaj temple priest dies in suspicious circumstances
The priest of Arya Samaj Mandir located in the Riari area of Jammu city died under suspicious circumstances.
The priest has been identified as 55-year-old Sukhdev Shastri’s son Nikunj Bihari resident of Sewa Village, Krishna Nagar Kolkata.
Sukhdev Shastri was currently residing in Rihari. When he was found unconscious in his room, he was rushed to GMC Hospital but doctors there declared him brought dead.
In view of the death of the priest in suspicious circumstances, the police took the body and started investigating the matter for the post-mortem keeping the body in the GMC mortuary.
