During the Amarnath Yatra, all the security agencies will work in better coordination. The guidelines will be strictly followed to remove any lapse in the security system.
Real-time exchange of inputs will be ensured by strengthening the information system to thwart the designs of mischievous elements.
Director-General of Police Dilbag Singh reviewed the security arrangements for Shri Amarnath Yatra.
During this, he directed the QRT (Quick Response Team) to keep alert at all times to help the devotees in case of any emergency.
He said that an adequate number of officers and jawans from various security agencies are being deployed for travel duty to make the security cover completely strong.
Shri Amarnath Yatra is starting on 30th June this year. The way to the holy cave is through Baltal and Pahalgam in the south.
The major base camps of the Yatra are established at Baltal and Nunwan in Pahalgam.
Director-General of Police Dilbag Singh visited the camps at Baltal and Domel to take stock of the security arrangements being made for the pilgrimage.
He also visited some parts of the Yatra route beyond Baltal. During this, he discussed the ground situation by interacting with CRPF and police officers, and jawans.
The Director-General of Police also inspected the parking space prepared for the vehicles of the devotees.
Instructions were also given to the concerned officers to improve the parking, traffic, and security management.
The Director-General of Police was accompanied by Special Director General CID Jammu and Kashmir RR Swain.
SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar, CRPF Commandants Rajendra Singh and Om Hari, and SDPO Kangan participated in the meeting.
Amarnath Yatra 2022: IG visits Nunwan.
IG Police Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar visited Nunwan, Pahalgam in South Kashmir to take stock of the security arrangements being made for the annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath.
Addressing a meeting of concerned officers of Police and CRPF in Anantnag, he said that all necessary steps should be taken to make the pilgrimage in a safe and peaceful environment.
There should not be any confusion in implementing the strategy to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
Problems of security forces should be resolved in ten days:
ADG Jammu Mukesh Singh reviewed the preparations for Amarnath Yatra with various security agencies and administrative officers in District Police Line.
He asked Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar and District Deputy Commissioner Avani Lavasa to resolve the problems being faced by the security agencies within 10 days.
Apart from SSP Police Control Room Jammu Haseeb Mughal, the Commandant of 38, 160, and 166 Battalions of CRPF detailed the security arrangements in the base camps.
The officials asked the administration to cooperate in making necessary security arrangements.
