Amit Shah Will Hold Meeting With CMs Of Naxal Affected States
Amit Shah will hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the Naxal affected states of the country tomorrow.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of 10 Naxal-affected states on Sunday.
During this, along with a review of the current situation, a future action plan for issues related to security and development will be discussed.
Official sources said that this meeting is being considered important to implement the new strategy to fight Left Wing Extremism in 10 Naxal-affected states.
In this meeting to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, the Chief Ministers or their representatives of all the 10 Naxal-affected states will participate.
These states are Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh.
During this, the Chief Minister will apprise them about the current status of their states and progress in development projects.
The Chief Minister or his representative will also share information about the steps taken so far by his State Administration in dealing with Naxalism.
According to sources, such meetings are held once or twice a year as per the requirement. But this meeting could not be held last year due to the Corona epidemic.
Apart from the Director-General of Police and Chief Secretaries of these ten states, the chiefs of paramilitary forces will also participate in the meeting.
The Intelligence Bureau is likely to give a presentation on Naxalite violence during this period.
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Director of Intelligence Bureau Arvind Kumar, and senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs will also be present in the meeting.
CAG Murmu appointed external auditor of IAEA.
Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) GC Murmu was on Friday elected as the external auditor of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The Foreign Ministry said his candidacy at the IAEA General Conference was supported by a majority.
He will serve in this position from 2022 to 2027.
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India were elected as the next external auditor of the International Atomic Energy Agency on Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
He has been elected for a six-year term at the General Conference of the IAEA in Vienna.
The CAG’s effort for the post got majority support in the IAEA General Conference. Various countries were also in this competition.
