The Army Chief, who arrived on a day-long visit, took stock of the operational preparedness of the army in East Ladakh and also encouraged the troops ready to face any kind of situation in the forward area.

In such a situation, along with the Army Chief who came to know about the ground situation of Eastern Ladakh, the Army Commander of the Northern Command of the Army, Lieutenant General YK Joshi.
Army Chief arrives in Ladakh: The GOC Lieutenant General PGK Menon of the fourteen Corps of the Army who took care of the security of Ladakh were also present.
He briefed the Army Commander about the ongoing activities in the Chinese region, the current challenges in East Ladakh and the steps being taken to face them.

At present, the Indian Army in Ladakh is also supporting the administration in an effort to keep its soldiers and officers safe in the circumstances arising out of the Corona infection.
Jammu: Response from Ministry of Defense on sexual harassment of women pilots summoned.
In the case of sexual harassment of a female pilot of the Indian Air Force, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has summoned the response from the Ministry of Defense and the Indian Air Force.
The High Court has directed the Ministry of Defense and the Indian Air Force to present their case within four weeks.
Regarding this, the High Court issued a notice to both, which was accepted by the Assistant Solicitor General Vishal Sharma on behalf of the Central Government.
A female pilot of the Indian Air Force working in Jammu and Kashmir has accused her flight commander of sexually assaulting her.
The woman pilot alleges that the Internal Complaints Committee set up to investigate the matter is also not conducting an impartial investigation and is trying to hush up the case by protecting the accused.
The High Court, considering this, has also put a stay on the committee’s investigation for the time being.
