Meanwhile, in Jammu, Rakshit’s last rites were performed with military honors

Army soldier Rakshit Chaudhary, who was shot dead under suspicious circumstances in Kashmir’s Uri sector, was finally given a final farewell with military honors.

Describing Rakshit’s death as a suicide, the army had taken his body to Shastri Nagar without military honors. With this, the family sat on a dharna at Satwari Chowk with his dead body. Rakshit’s family said that he could not commit suicide.

On the night of Thursday, he called home and talked with them laughing, but shortly after this, he came to know that Rakshit had died due to bullet injuries. The family is suspecting the case of Rakshit’s death.

On the other hand, seeing the performance of the family, on Saturday, the administration decided to get the body of Rakshit done by a board of doctors post-mortem and after the post-mortem on Sunday.

Rakshit’s body was taken to Shastri Nagar crematorium in a cart decorated with army flowers Where he was cremated with full military honors.

The relatives of Rakshit say that they have got some satisfaction from giving military honor to Rakshit, but the real satisfaction will be found when the exact reasons for his death are known. His son was brave and cannot commit suicide.

Former MLC Bikram Randhawa, who was present at the funeral, said that it was a big mistake of the CEO of the unit to send Rakshit’s body with respect. The jawan deserves respect because he has chosen the army to serve the country.

This entire matter should be investigated. If the army had already given Rakshit a final farewell with military honors, he would not have been forced to hit the streets like this.
