The issue of the Bofors scam heated up again. Journalist Chitra Subramaniam raised many serious questions, sought answers from the CBI. Journalist and writer Chitra Subramaniam has asked the CBI that why the boxes of evidences that came from Switzerland in the Bofors gun brokerage scandal have not been exposed till now? Former CBI officers say that all those evidences have been presented in the court as a charge sheet.

The writer Subramaniam expressed surprise and asked that if 18 percent brokerage was taken, then what happened to the brokerage of Bofors guns of the Swedish firm to the then Indian government. Chitra Subramaniam said that why did the then Defence Minister George Fernandes ask her at the end of 1999 why Brajesh Mishra had refused to open those boxes?
Chitra Subramaniam, who has been maintaining her stand on this issue, said that CBI is saying that it has said what it had to say. However, I have spoken what I needed to say.
Claim of getting it registered in the chargesheet
Former Director General of Rajasthan Police OP Galhotra played an important role in the Bofors case during his tenure. He said that CBI had got the documents received from Switzerland registered in the chargesheet. He told that on the instructions of the concerned court, the boxes of evidence were opened and every evidence was tested. The claims of this book have not been confirmed.
