Baramulla Encounter: In the Baramulla encounter, LeT’s reward of 10 lakhs, including Mudasir Pandit, 3 terrorists killed.

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed by security forces in an encounter that took place in the Sopore area of district Baramulla late on Sunday, including top terrorist Mudasir Pandit.
The police had also announced a reward of 10 lakhs on the wanted Mudsir in many murders and terrorist attacks.
Giving information about this, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba has suffered a great loss due to the killing of Mudasir Pandit.
Pandit was involved in the killing of three policemen, two counselors, and two civilians. He had attacked and killed two councilors and a policeman during the meeting of the consular held in Sopore.
The police had been looking for him for a long time.
The encounter took place in the Gund Brath area of Sopore in district Baramulla in North Kashmir. Late night, the security forces received information about the presence of three terrorists in the area.
The police had definite information that among the three terrorists hiding in the area, the most wanted terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Mudasir Pandit is also included.
The joint team of SOG, Army, and CRPF reached the Gund Brath area late at night and started search operations in search of terrorists.
These three terrorists were hiding in a house. Seeing the security forces approaching them, the terrorists started firing.
Before starting the retaliatory action, the security forces asked the terrorists to surrender as usual, but the terrorists responded by firing only.
Within one to two o’clock in the morning, the three terrorists were killed one after the other. After killing the terrorists, the security forces launched a search operation around the encounter site.
After the capture of the three bodies, it was confirmed whether Mudasir was among the slain terrorists.
The IGP on Monday morning confirmed this on Twitter handle that among the three terrorists killed, top Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mudasir Pandit is also included.
Not only this, a Pakistani terrorist Asrar alias Abdullah is also included in those who died. It was also included in the hit list of the police.
Asrar was active in North Kashmir since 2018. The identity of the third terrorist has not been disclosed yet but he is said to be a local.
Police also recovered a large number of arms and ammunition from the encounter site. The security forces evacuated the area after the operation was over in the early hours.
