National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was also accompanying him in this meeting.

A day after the meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Geneva. This information has been given by the White House Press Pool.

Biden discusses Ukraine with the national security team: What was told by the White House?

President Joe Biden was told by the White House about the meeting, “Today President Biden met in person with his national security team and virtually discussed the ongoing Russian offensive against Ukraine at Camp David.”

President Biden was briefed on the current status of Russian military operations on the borders of Ukraine and discussed our ongoing efforts.

“The preventive measures being taken together with our allies and partners, including the ongoing delivery of security assistance to Ukraine, were discussed to rectify the situation with diplomacy,” the White House said in a statement on Saturday.

Biden discusses Ukraine with the national security team: All senior officers who attended the meeting.

According to a White House press release, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Counselor Steve Richetti attended President Biden’s meeting in person at Camp David.

While other national security officials were part of the meeting via video.

“President Biden reaffirmed that if Russia further invades Ukraine, the United States, along with its allies and partners, could strike Russia with a sharp and severe attack,” the White House reported.

Written proposal on a security guarantee

In Geneva, Lavrov and Blinken met with the US secretary on Friday and promised to give a written response to Moscow’s proposals on security guarantees next week.
