He was shot dead by terrorists yesterday. The terrorists, who were dazed by the changed atmosphere of Kashmir, attacked and injured the BJP leader in Budgam district on Sunday. His condition was critical. The district head of OBC cell Abdul Hameed Najar, who went out for a walk from the security center, was shot by a terrorist riding on a bike.

No terrorist organization has taken responsibility yet, but the terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) or Al Badar Mujahideen is suspected to be involved in the crime. Abdul Hamid Najar (38), a resident of Mehdipora in Budgam, was targeted by the terrorists at around 6 am in the Ompora area, three kilometers from the security center set up at the Shaur-e-Afaq hotel. One of the two motorcycle-borne terrorists fired bullets in front of the motorcycle on the way out for a walk. Four bullets hit his stomach. After this, the terrorists fled from there.
The local residents, who arrived at the scene after the shootings, rushed the blood-soaked Najar to the local hospital. From there, he was referred to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital in Srinagar, where he died today. According to doctors, the pills were in the stomach. Damage to the liver, the condition was critical. In a while, the security forces also reached.
It is said that Najar went alone walking near the Ompora railway station. At that time there was less movement in the area. Seeing him alone, the terrorists attacked him. Najar had been receiving terrorist threats for a long time. Police stationed him at the security center in the district.
The attempt was also made to attack Dr. Anisa
Three days before the attack on BJP leader Abdul Hameed Najar, the terrorists also tried to target BJP state executive member and Mahila Morcha officer Dr. Anisa Gul in Chhanpora, Srinagar. Dr. Anisa, a resident of Budgam, is also staying with Najar in the Security Center at the Saur-e-Afaq Hotel.
Dr. Anisa said that she was lodged in the hotel after receiving threats from the terrorist organization Al Badar Mujahideen to kill her. Anisa told me that she was at Chhanpora at Bua’s house on the night of August 6. Five militants surrounded the house at one o’clock at night.
To escape, I hid in a room on the second floor and called at the Chhanpora police station. The terrorists escaped after three police guards arrived. The police took me to the police station from there. I have not been able to leave the hotel since then. Anees says that Najar is close to him. This attack has also been carried out by Al Badar Mujahideen.
Resigning workers:
According to party sources, after the terrorist attack, four-party workers in the district have sent their resignations to district head Agha Mohsin. BJP district head says that efforts are being made to convince these party workers.
Targeting people associated with BJP:
There have been three terrorist attacks on BJP workers in Kashmir so far this month. On August 5, BJP sarpanch Sajjad Ahmad Khande was killed by terrorists in Kulgam. Two days before this, BJP’s Panch Arif Ahmed was shot and injured in Kulgam. July 8 Bandipora district president of BJP Wasim Bari was killed along with father and brother. In June, terrorists also killed Congress sarpanch Ajay Pandita in Kashmir.
