Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Australian team will come to India for the much-awaited series in February-March.

Australia Cricket has announced its historic tour of India. The tour, starting in Sri Lanka next month, will kick-start Australia’s hectic schedule for men’s cricket till 2023.

The most eagerly awaited series in this program is the Border-Gavaskar Test series between India and Australia which will be played in February-March next year.

The Australia team will play four Test matches on the tour of India during this series.

Talking about the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the Indian team seems to have the upper hand and India has won consecutive wins for the last three seasons.

Talking about the last season 2020/21 years, here India won 2-1.

The first edition of this series was played in 1996-97. Talking about the last season, it was played in Australia in 2020-21 where India won.

The last time this series was played in India was in 2016-17 when India beat Australia 2-1. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged Player of the Series in this series.

Even though his bat did not play in this series, his bowling troubled Australia a lot. He scored 127 runs and took 25 wickets in this 4-match series.

Now when the Australian team comes here in the month of February-March, it will have a chance to avenge the previous defeat.

The recent performance of the Australia team in the series against Pakistan will certainly act as a booster for Australia against India as the team’s performance on the Asian pitches has not been that great.
