In this joint operation, 13 kg heroin, 5 AK-47s, 5 pistols, and 9 magazines have been recovered from the Ferozepur district. The DGP of Punjab Police has given information.
He said that a consignment of arms was recovered from the field of a farmer of Vahka village in the Sadar area near Border Out Post (BOP) Dona Telu Mal.
According to officials, these weapons were buried in the soil.
A few days ago, while giving information on Sunday, the Punjab Police said that they have arrested a person and seized eight Chinese pistols, 60 bullets, and two kilograms of heroin, which was smuggled into India through a drone from Pakistan.
A police officer had given this information.
A Punjab Police official had said that the accused has been identified as Paramjeet Singh, a resident of Havalian village in Tarn Taran district.
The consignment will be smuggled. Police said the drone dropped the consignment inside Indian territory on Friday and Paramjit Singh recovered it on Saturday.
A few days ago, the Punjab Police arrested two smugglers with 13 kg of heroin. The accused were arrested from Rajasthan. These accused were adopting Jammu and Kashmir network.
Punjab’s DGP Gaurav Yadav had given the information. He had said that the police has started looking for the network of the accused.
