British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab arrived in India on Monday for a four-day visit. He met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday as part of his schedule.
Simultaneous photographs of the two leaders also surfaced. Now delegation-level talks are being held by Jaishankar and Raab.
It has been said that during this meeting bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest are to be discussed. The Foreign Ministry gave its information on Monday.
In addition, Rab will hold official meetings with Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar and Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Ninshak.
The ministry said that Raab’s visit would pave the way for further strengthening partnerships in the fields of trade, defense, climate, migration and mobility, education, and health between the two countries after Covid and Brexit.
The Foreign Ministry had said in a statement that Dominic Raab would be on an official visit to India from 14 to 17 December.
Raab will hold talks with Foreign Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on 15 December 2020 on bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest.
During this time he will also travel to Bengaluru. Here he will meet Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on 17 December.
