Chennai Super Kings got relief after controversy, veteran batsman arrives in UAE to join the team: IPL 2020. The team of Chennai Super Kings, the franchise team of the Indian Premier League, was in trouble for the last several days. Now the news of relief for the team is coming. Two South African players (Faf du Plessis and Lungi Angidi) have reached the UAE and will join the team after a week-long quarantine.
Last week was a tough one for Chennai Super Kings. While 13 members of the team were found to be Corona positive, veteran batsman Suresh Raina surprised everyone by deciding to withdraw from the tournament. Raina returned to India after withdrawing his name from the IPL after a dispute with the team. Team owner N Srinivasan gave a statement about this and then clarified his statement and told himself and the team with Raina.
There is good news for the Chennai team that former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis has arrived in the UAE to participate in the tournament. He was accompanied by the team’s young fast bowler Lungi Angidi. Both players will have to stay in quarantine for the next week during which their two corona tests will be conducted. After the results of both these tests are negative, du Plessis and Angidi will be able to match the team of Chennai with the rest of the players.
