Controversy in Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Temple Karnataka. The controversy over the right to worship at Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Temple.

The temple came back to the district administration. Rahul Pandey, who presides over the committee, has ordered that no one should be allowed to worship at the temple.

Gokarna is the only temple in the state where Lord Shiva is worshiped. The temple, which is famous as Dakshinakshi, is visited by devotees from all over the country including the state.

Devotees are also arriving now after the relaxation in the covid norms and are being allowed to have a darshan of God.

The effect of the uproar among local devotees as to the worship of the supreme temple in the present day is devoid of self-expression.

The government has allowed the opening of temples in the state with the relaxation of the corona rules.

This backdrop has also opened up the Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Temple of Kumata Taluk in Uttar Kannada district of Karnataka to hundreds of devotees.

There is no service in the temple and only the worship of God is allowed to the devotees with the observance of the Corona guidelines as per the government’s orders.

The temple has once again become the focal point of controversy with the rituals of worship among the devotees who have been worshiping since ancient times.

Following the relaxation of the Corona guidelines, the Mahabaleshwar Temple was closed to the public during the Lockdown.

The temple was administered by the committee formed by the Supreme Court was allowed to perform personal rituals on the occasion of Shivaratri and Shravan Masa.

However, the same issue has now arisen between the temple authorities and the temple committee over the right to worship.

Rahul Pandey, who chaired the committee, has ordered that no one should be allowed to worship in the temple. This makes the devotees also have no darshan.

In 2007, the Ramachandrapur Math was given to the administration of the Mahabaleshwar Temple, which was previously owned by the government.

The case was filed in the Supreme Court on the back of the law that did not allow the hereditary people to worship God.

The Supreme Court, which had recently issued this order, took over the administration of the temple from the monastery of the temple in May 2021, forming a governing body for the continuation of pre-eminent forms of worship.

However, some of the monasteries in the committee refused to allow the hereditary worshipers to worship, causing confusion.

The district officials have already been instructed not to make any confusion and called the meeting to take appropriate action.

It is true that all the devotees who come to the Mahabaleshwara temple can be disturbed by the confusion between the sages and the committee.

The authorities should take note of this and take appropriate action so that it does not disturb the darshan of believers.
