Due to continuous rains in Sukma district, the river-drain is in spate. In such a situation, the river water came on the drain near the Injaram, due to which the traffic was stopped since late evening. Meanwhile, Jawan Sohan Thakur, a resident of Bhejji, died in the district hospital during treatment.

After this, when the family was going home with the dead body. Then the body was trapped due to flooding. As soon as the information was received, CRPF 219 officer Mohan Bisht arrived with the CRPF jawans and shouldered the dead body and crossed the bridge. After this, the relatives of the deceased shed tears of gratitude in the eyes of fellow soldiers.

CRPF officials said that Sohan Thakur, a jawan posted at Konta police station posted as an assistant constable in JRG, was ill for the past several days. He died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Sukma District Hospital. The body was brought to the camp.

After this, the entire road was closed due to floods. Camp jawans lifted the coffin of the dead jawan’s body over his shoulder and carried the body to the vehicle through the floodwaters. From here, the dead body was sent to the village of the deceased jawan under the sensitive Naxal affected Bhenji police station area.
