The Meteorological Department has predicted the knock of a cyclonic storm on Sunday. It is being told that this storm can cause havoc in many parts of the country including Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka.
An alert has been issued by the department. In view of this, the National Disaster Response Force has deployed its teams in these areas.
National Disaster Response Force DG SN Pradhan said that 24 teams have already been deployed in Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Maharashtra and 29 teams are on standby due to the cyclonic storm.
The cyclonic storm may wreak havoc in these parts of the country, Meteorological Department alert.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding the first cyclone of the year. According to the Meteorological Department, seasonal activities in the Arabian Sea are in turmoil.
A low-pressure area is forming over the southeast Arabian Sea, due to which a cyclonic storm is going to be born.
The department has feared that the first cyclonic storm of the year will hit the west coast by Sunday and it will affect Gujarat and surrounding areas.
The name of this storm is Taukte, it is named by the neighboring country Myanmar, which means – a loud-sounding lizard.
Fishermen warning not to go to sea.
Due to cyclonic storms, heavy rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected in many parts of the country. It can affect Lakshadweep, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
In such a situation, the department has issued an alert to the fishermen not to go to sea. The department says that heavy rain may occur in many areas including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra from May 14 to 16.
According to the report, the storm is likely to pass through the Kutch region on May 20 and move to South Pakistan. If this happens, it will reach the coastal areas of Gujarat by May 17 or 18.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the cyclonic storm, Lakshadweep, Maldives will have strong winds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour.
An alert has been issued by the department that people in coastal areas of Kerala, Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra may face thunderstorms.
Chance of rain in many parts of the country on Friday.
Since Wednesday evening, the rains and cool winds have brought relief to the people from the heat. On Thursday too, there has been rained in many areas and hail in some parts.
The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain at many places on Friday. Rain in Kashmir, while rain in many areas in the Jammu division is likely to be cloudy in many places.
At the same time, snowfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh with snowfall at one or two places and rain in the lower areas.
Rainfall will continue in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand on Friday, with the department issuing warnings of heavy rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Pithoragarh, while snowfall is expected in the higher hills.
