Govt Should Take Steps To Resolve Problems Of Kashmiri Pandits
Govt should take steps to resolve the problems of Displaced Kashmiri Pandits: Jammu Kashmir.
Shadi Lal Pandita, leader of displaced Kashmiri Pandits and head of the Jagati Tenement Committee, has said that the government is not taking concrete steps regarding Kashmiri Pandits.
Attention is not being paid towards solving the problems of Kashmiri Pandits.
Addressing the meeting workers on the dharna in Jagti, he said that at this time the Kashmiri Pandit youth is being neglected.
Under the PM package, the youth engaged in jobs have been conditioned to work on half pay for two years.
He said that when Kashmiri Pandits are giving full duty, then why half their salary. Anyway, it is not possible to get a job in the valley at a low salary.
On the other hand, the central government is not finding any way to return the Kashmiri Pandits to the valley.
The govt has been asked several times to set up separate colonies for Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley, but the government has not yet taken any concrete decision on this.
The govt should rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits who have been deteriorating for 32 years.
At the same time, the government is not serious about the upliftment of displaced Kashmiri Pandits living in the Jammu and Udhampur refugee camps.
It has been said time and again that the monthly relief of displaced Kashmiri Pandits should be increased from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000, but the government does not want to take any decision on this.
RK Tikku also addressed the occasion and said that if this attitude of the government continues, then Kashmiri Pandits will have to tighten the stand of their movement.
He said that for three decades, Kashmiri Pandits are away from their soil and culture.
Kashmiri Pandits are getting displaced and making their living. In the era of Corona, the condition of these displaced has become worse. The government should think about this.
