Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) may launch the CBR150R entry-level sportbike in the country. The company has applied for a patent for the motorcycle.

This suggests that the bike may soon arrive in the country. After the launch of Honda CBR 150R, Yamaha R15 will give tough competition to V4.

Honda’s new CBR150R can get a very sharp and aerodynamic body panel on the outside. Its exterior design takes inspiration from the bigger CBR motorcycles in the company’s lineup.

Dual LED headlamps and LED DRLs will be seen in the front of the bike.

On the other hand, other key features of this sports bike include a compact windscreen, sporty rear-view mirror, low-set wide handlebar, fully digital instrument console, sculpted fuel tank, upswept exhaust, and step-up, seats are included.

The bike also gets USD front forks in golden color, which further enhances its sporty appeal.

There may be some changes in the bike.

In terms of exterior color options, it could be offered in a range of colors like Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, Dominator Matte Black, Candy Scintillate Red, and MotoGP variants.

However, some features and color options may also change for this model in India.

Talking about its engine, it has been given a 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is capable of generating 16.09 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 7,000 Rpm.

The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

For braking, the bike uses a single disc at the end, which is mated to ABS and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

Talking about the estimated price of Honda CBR150R, its price can be around Rs 1.60 lakh ex-showroom. It will compete directly with Yamaha’s R15.
